Atticus

16 hh Friesian sporthorse gelding, Born August 2, 2011. (Coming 13 yrs. old)

Atticus is my superstar! Brave and honest, although he can be strong at times. Also, because he was a stallion for his first 4 years, tends to look around at everything.  He still can be a bit leery of some spooky things, such as bikes or baby strollers suddenly appearing on the horizon or the trail behind him, so he needs a strong and assertive rider to reassure him and push him forward if some such thing appears.

Sweet, willing personality. He was ridden almost exclusively by a professional trainer for the first 4 years of his career. He has done Beginner Novice eventing, and could easily do Novice level with a little refresher. In the ring, he has schooled 4’ courses, but was last showing in the 2.9” jumpers. Hasn't done serious jumping in a couple years. Excellent aptitude for dressage, goes in a frame nicely and responds to light cues to leg yield. Sound, healthy, with excellent ground manners. Currently offered for on-farm half-lease in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. 

$500 / month full lease, $250/month for 3-day-per-week partial lease. (owner covers ALL maintenance fees, tack and grooming supplies provided as stated above).
